360-Degree Feedback

In simple words: In 360-degree feedback, an employee receives feedback from several people around them: their manager, their teammates, the people they manage, and sometimes themselves. It gives a fuller picture than just one boss’s opinion.

Example: A team lead gets feedback from her manager, five teammates and two junior colleagues. She learns that she’s great at planning but doesn’t always give clear instructions.

Why it matters: It helps people spot blind spots they can’t see themselves. It works best when the feedback is anonymous, focused on growth and not used to punish.

Definitions are general guidance. Your organisation's policies and applicable local requirements determine how a term is used in practice.
