A confirmation letter is issued to an employee once they successfully complete their probation period. The confirmation letter officially states that the employee is now a permanent part of the organization. It usually mentions the confirmation date and may also include any changes to salary or benefits at that stage. Some company benefits, like certain insurance coverage, only become fully active after the confirmation letter is issued.

Definitions are general guidance. Your organisation's policies and applicable local requirements determine how a term is used in practice.
